Iran film ‘Abji’ is to compete in Guadalajara filmfest in Mexico.

Iranian film Abji (Sis) has been scheduled to compete at the 32nd edition of Guadalajara International Film Festival in Mexico.

Produced by Mohammad Hossein Ghasemi , the movie is to experience its 12th international presence by attending the competition section of the event.

The flick has so far won 4 awards.

“Tala and Ati (Sis) are a mother and daughter who have lived together for many years; almost 50 years, as long as the life of Sis. Their situation, however, does not last long, and the days of separation arrive. This happens when Sis depends heavily on her mother due to her special conditions, and Tala is trying to provide security for Ati's future in the remaining time; a future without her presence,” a short synopsis of the movie reads.

The 32nd edition of Guadalajara International Film Festival is slated for November 10-27, 2017.
